Everyone in Connecticut deserves to be able take a sick day when they need it. I want my legislators to support Paid Sick Days.

Everyone gets sick. But for too many workers, losing a day's pay (or even a job) is as easy as catching a cold. The alternative isn't much better: people go to work sick and spread illness to co-workers and the public. Enacting paid sick days as a basic workplace standard is an important public health reform -- and even more so in tough economic times like these. (Read more.)
Last year, the Connecticut General Assembly came within inches of passing legislation that would have allowed hundreds of thousands of Connecticut workers to earn paid sick time.
We will continue to provide resources and education about this important public health and economic security policy.
